People with signs and symptoms of mpox infection should NOT receive the Imvamune® mpox vaccine as it is not intended for the treatment of mpox. Individuals who have received two doses of Imvamune® in 2022 or later or not eligible for additional doses. Based on the Ontario Ministry of Health guidelines, the following groups are eligible for a 2-dose series of the Imvamune® vaccine for protection.
Admission to the Faculty of Science
If you return to work on a rehabilitation trial after being on LTD, your LTD claim continues to be active, and there are no changes to coverage. A retiree plan will always pay after any group plan that covers you as an employee. If you provided Canada Life with your bank information, they’ll deposit the reimbursement into your bank account; otherwise, you’ll receive a cheque in the mail. Find the paper claim form on the Careers & MyHR forms and tools index page, or My Canada Life at Work, and follow the submission instructions carefully. Make a photocopy of the expense receipt because the originals will not be returned to you. Out of country claim forms are available on My Canada Life at Work and can be submitted online to Global Excel, by email to or by mail following the instructions on the claim form.
Is disability insurance worth it?
If you’re planning to travel outside Ontario, you may be able to get a larger supply, but you can only do this once during the Ontario Drug Benefit program year – between August 1 and July 31. Keep in mind that prescriptions filled outside Ontario are not covered by the Ontario Drug Benefit program. If you were covered by the Ontario Drug Benefit program and paid for a covered drug, submit your receipts online via the Ontario Drug Benefit Program Receipt Submission Form available on the Ontario Drug Benefit Program Online Applications and Forms website.
Other Benefits
Your coverage becomes effective on the date the application is received by your employer but in no event prior to the commencement of active, regular employment. Requirements for Dual Credit High School Students
The Committee on Student Standing in Science considers appeals from students who request special consideration in respect of rules and regulations governing their programs of study and qualification for graduation. A student who receives an assessment of Academic Warning will be encouraged to meet with an advisor and connect with campus resources. Students who wish to repeat a course for which they have obtained a grade of “C” or better are encouraged to discuss their choice to do so with a Science Academic Advisor prior to registration. Science students are subject to the University of Manitoba regulations (see General Academic Regulations, Repeating a Course) and the Faculty of Science degree regulations regarding eligibility to repeat a course.

After your initial enrolment, you will not be able to make changes to your optional life insurance plans until the annual enrolment period, or until you have an eligible life event. Optional life insurance plans do not end automatically; therefore, you must cancel them when your dependents are no longer eligible for coverage under your benefit plan. Minors: Academic Regulations for Science Students
For active employees, Dependent life insurance coverage terminates on the earlier of termination of employment or attainment of age 75. In respect of dependent children, coverage terminates on the earlier of the date they are no longer eligible, as outlined in the Summary of Benefits, or on your attainment of age 75. This plan provides additional accidental death and dismemberment insurance for you, your spouse and dependent children, if desired, on an employee-pay-all basis.
Drugs used in palliative care
You must apply and pay the first premium no later than 31 days after you start your new job, and you must start your new job no later than 6 months after you leave your present one. Your application must be acceptable according to Canada Life’s underwriting rules in effect for individual disability insurance conversion policies at the time of application. See your employer for confirmation of benefits and amounts that are eligible for conversion. The total amount will be $10,000 for hotel accommodation and transportation cost combined. If personal transportation is used in lieu of public conveyance, a rate of $0.20 per kilometer will apply.

A student electing an Honours program will normally begin Honours work in second year and must meet the entrance requirements set out below.
